Anthony Webster and Jesse Starnes threw everything they could get their hands on up against the King Cove T-Jacks this past weekend.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, it wasn't enough.

Sand Point dropped a pair of nail-biting decisions to King Cove on Friday and Saturday in front of their home fans.

Despite stellar efforts from both Webster and Starnes, King Cove managed to escape with a 67-65 decision on Friday in the first of a weekend twinbill. In the loss, Webster pushed in 24 points and accounted for eight rebounds. Starnes also reached double figures offensively, netting 20 points and a team-best nine boards.

Karl Smith and Joseph Ortega III also played well for SPHS. Smith scored eight points, grabbed nine boards and had five assists in the defeat. Ortega registered seven points and eight assists.

In the finale of the series, King Cove manage to outscore San Point by a 53-42 margin in the first three quarters of action and then held off an 18-12 run in the fourth to secure a 65-60 decision.

Webster led all Sand Point scorers in Game 2 by tallying 20. Starnes added 19.
