Alaska Ice girls basketball update

Alaska Ice elite girls basketball coach Doug Boyer sent this recap of the team's trip to the Gonzaga Elite Shootout in Spokane, Wash.
The girls finished the tournament with a record of 5-1 and finished second overall behind Medford, Oregon (6-0). The girls lost their first game by 2 points and then won the rest of their games. The girls faced all teams from very large high schools. Out of the 6 games, 4 of the games were decided by two points and the last seconds. The girls overall record for the summer is 9-1.
At 2:00 PM, after winning the pool championship, the girls faced off against Skyview from Boise, Idaho in a mini championship. Skyview won their pool championship with a very convincing record of 5-0. The girls won 37-35. Skyview jumped out to a large 12 point lead throughout the game. The girls fought back and Caitlin Auble made a basket with 9 seconds to seal the win.

At 1:00 PM, the girls faced off in the Pool Championship against Sentinel High School. Sentinel is a very large school from Missoula, Montana. From the start of the game, the game went back and forth with numerous lead changes. The girls won 45-41.

At 11:00AM, our game was switched and we ended up play North Central High School from Spokane, WA instead of South Medford Oregon. The girls won 33-23. Scoring was:
