26 cited for commercial fisheries violations in Bristol Bay

Alaska State Wildlife Troopers have cited 26 commercial fishermen during the past week for illegal activities in Bristol Bay.

All arraignments were scheduled to be held in Naknek District Court, except as otherwise noted.

Geoff Wyman, 63, of Dillingham, was cited on June 23 for commercial fishing a drift gill net with an unmarked end buoy in the Egegik district. Arraignment is scheduled for July 20.

Michael Dean Lomsdalen, 23, of Bow, Wash., was cited on June 22, for failing to properly display his vessel's Alaska Department of Fish and Game number in the Egegik district. Arraignment is scheduled for July 15.

Joel Ludwig, 52, of Arlington, Wash., was issued a summons on June 21 on the F/V Match Point for commercial fishing closed waters in the Egegik district. A second permit holder who was a minor was also issued a summons. Arraignment is set for July 15.

Mark E. Angasan, 53, of Naknek was cited for commercial fishing during a closed period inside the Kvichak section of the Naknek/Kvichak district on June 22. Arraignment was set for July 13.

Nicholas J. Blakey, 25, of Bainbridge Island, Wash., was cited for commercial fishing in closed water south of the Naknek district on June 21 aboard the F/V No Limit. Arraignment is set for July 22.

Donald R. Johnson, 65, of LaConner, Wash., was cited for commercial fishing during a closed period inside the Kvichak section of the Naknek/Kvichak district on June 22.Arraignment is set for July 20.

Brad S. Barber, 44, of Snohomish, Wash., was cited for commercial fishing in closed water south of the Naknek district on June 21 aboard the F/V Lisa J. Barber, and for commercial fishing with his ADF&G numbers obscured on both sides of his vessel. Bail was set at $210. Arraignment is set for July 21.

Andrew M. Hartinger, 20, of Shorline, Wash., was cited for commercial fishing during a closed period inside the Kvichak section of the Naknek/Kvichak district on June 22. Arraignment is set for July 15.

Stephen A. Miles, 26, of Kodiak, a permit holder aboard the F/V Freelancer, was cited for commercial fishing in closed water outside the Egegik district on June 17. Arraignment is set for July 14.

Ferdinand Hernandez, 47, of California, was cited on June 26 for having an unlicensed vessel while taking part in the commercial fishery in the Egegik district. Bail was set at $210 with an optional court appearance.

Rick Solomon, 66, of Oakhurst, CA., was cited on June 25 for employing an unlicensed crewmember to work his commercial set net. Bail was set at $250. No information regarding a court appearance was listed.

Calliandra Grace Donn, 28, of Wasilla was cited on June 27 for failure to register her vessel and for no personal flotation device in the Egegik district. Bail was set at $60 for failure to register her vessel and $110 for no PFD. An optional court appearance was scheduled for July 15.

Seven harvesters were cited June 27 for failure to display their vessel registration in the Egegik district.

They included George Geoffrey Edward Tibbetts, 38, of Anchorage; Alannah Marie Rice, 22, of Bellingham, WA.; Mark Allen Bouman, 51, of Anchorage; Charleen Ivy-Oguinn, 43, of Soldotna; Benjamin Bakk, 18, of Egegik; Jack Weinberg, 21, of California, and Kathleen Lange, 53, of Homer. Bail for each of them was set at $60, with an optional court appearance on June 27.

Calliandrea Donn, 28, of Wasilla, and Timothy Giffy, 47, of Oregon, were both cited on June 27 for no identification on their set gillnets in the Egegik district. Bail for each was set at $260, with an optional court appearance at an unspecified date.

Rodney Intagliata, 39, of Chignik, was cited for employing an unlicensed crewmember aboard the F/V Midget Maid in the Chignik Lagoon area. Bail was set at $260 with an optional court appearance.

Donald P. Aus, 59, of Unalaska, was cited for commercial fishing in closed waters seaward of the three-mile boundary line of the outer Port Heiden section of the North Peninsula commercial fishing districts. Arraignment was set for July 6.

Joseph A. Stalmaster, 32, of Dillingham, was cited on June 25 for failure to display valid year boat registration sticker while operating a boat on the Nushagak River. Bail was set at $50, with arraignment in Dillingham District Court within 20 days.

Thaddeus O. Warren, 32, of Sand Point, was cited June 21 for no crew member license in possession while commercial fishing near False Pass off F/V Lee Anna. Bail was set at $260 with an optional court appearance in Unalaska District Court at an unspecified date.

Ellery F. Pomeroy, 40, of Wasola, MO, was cited June 18 for no crewmember license in possession while working as a crewman aboard the F/V Midget Maid in Chignik Lagoon. Bail was set at $260 with an optional court appearance at an unspecified date.
