Bristol Bay boys drop opener at state

Despite getting double figures from Jaxon Wassillie and Luke Wilson, the Bristol Bay boys basketball team lost in the first round of the Class 2A state tournament in Anchorage.

Klawock used a strong second quarter to fuel a 72-50 win at Sullivan Arena.

Wassillie scored 23 points and Wilson added 11. The combined to make 16 of 27 field goals while the rest of the team made only 7 of 25.

Klawock outscored Bristol Bay 22-4 in the second quarter.
